After four goalless league games, Cristiano Ronaldo struck back convincingly against Tottenham.
– My job is to help the team with experience, scores and assists. And that’s what I did. I’m very happy with that. In my opinion, this was an incredible achievement by the team, says the Portuguese to SkySports.
Ronaldo opened the scoring party with a magnificent volley worthy of the autumn show. “Wow” it sounded simple from suspended Paul pogba at home on the couch.
– This is one of the season’s best endings. It should not be possible to score from that angle. A striking finish, says former Manchester United player Owen Hargreaves.
– Brilliant, it sounds from the former top scorer Gary Lineker, while a journalist in the local newspaper Manchester Evening News, Samuel Luckhurst, draws parallels to Marco van Basten’s legendary volleyball goal against the Soviet Union in 1988.
Ronaldo followed up the score with a stroke of goal-scoring pass to striker Edinson Cavani on the 2-0 score.
– He can thank Ronaldo for that goal, because it was an absolutely wonderful pass, says Ronaldo’s former teammate in United, Gary Neville, at Sky Sports.
