CONAKRY– The initiative of the Guinean Prime Minister Doctor Bernard Goumou, which consists in finding a consensus between the actors of football seems to have borne fruit. After a first round, this second day of discussion finally made it possible to reach a consensus between local football officials gathered in a hotel in Conakry this Sunday. After several hours of exchanges, a point of agreement on the sticking points is found.
» There are no more differences between the statutory members. The two camps have agreed on the points of contention. Thus, the regional leagues will remain and the candidacy by list is recorded but on secret ballot. The statutory members will meet again this Monday to finalize all this confirms President Antonio Souaré on FIM.
This now means that an Extraordinary General Assembly should soon be convened with a view to adopting the new statutes in order to set up an executive committee for the federation at the end of next September, the deadline for CONOR’s mandate. It should be noted that a FIFA mission is expected in Conakry this Monday, June 12 for 2 days in the Guinean capital, in order to discuss with the stakeholders.
