Crisis in access to care in Chartres: the operation of the medical center still interrupted

“On Monday evening, after the meeting in the prefecture, we sent the deputy Philippe Vigier the list of our proposals to free up medical time for doctors. We are waiting to see if our requests for trials, which come from the field, will all be sent to the Minister of Health”, explains Anne-Sophie Gilmardais, one of the spokespersons for the Union of Doctors of Eure-et.-Loir, a non-union collective of generalists, created about ten days ago.

The muttering movement of the Eurelian generalists obviously hasn’t died down yet. “For the moment we remain mobilized. The right of withdrawal could turn into a strike for the permanence of treatment at the medical assistance center in Chartres, in the absence of immediate solutions», remembers Anne-Sophie Gilmardais.

Crisis at the Chartres medical center: a hundred carers demonstrate in front of the Eure-et-Loir prefecture

The prefect of Eure-et-Loir announced on Monday January 2, food for thought to secure the guards of liberal doctors in the hospital. On Monday and Tuesday 3 January in the evening, the toll-free number of liberal doctors, from 8 pm to midnight, at the medical center was not yet secured. “It will be the same Thursday night (January 5, ed). The doctor on duty on Wednesday evening, however, did not assert his right of withdrawal. Consultations should therefore be guaranteed, “says Julien Cottet, president of the Council of the Eure-et-Loir Medical Association.

Proposals that sow doubts

At the same time, the deputies of the majority announced, on Monday 2 January, the launch of a working group on access to care in the Eure-et-Loir, led by Philippe Vigier, deputy (MoDem and independents) of the fourth constituency of Eure-et-Loir (Châteaudun).

If some proposals of the group of doctors could be tested on site, others, however, raised questions among the parliamentarians present at the meeting. “There are some who obviously seem to us to be going in the right direction, but we are all a little more reserved on some points,” said Guillaume Kasbarian, MP (Renaissance) for the 1st constituency of Eure-et-Loire (Chartres).

Health meeting in Chartres: what proposals to defuse the doctors’ crisis?

Between them :

“The self-prescription of a five-day interruption from work without medical advice, or the fine of 50 euros imposed on those who were unable to honor the assignment. What if the patient has an unexpected event or accident? »

For its part, the prefecture has already announced the holding of a meeting, on January 23, to “take stock of the first initiatives launched”.
