Course
Crises and controversies past and present
The course aims to use selected examples to provide insights into historical events whose complexity has led to controversial interpretations and questions to this day: to what extent did the German Empire move between continuity and modernity? How did the Catholic Church behave during National Socialism? Did the first Brexit not take place in 2020, but as early as 1534?
But current crises, such as those in the Middle East and Ukraine, will also be discussed in terms of their causes, course and consequences, with media contributions being used for illustration and in-depth discussion. Contributions from participants are expressly welcome.
Please note:
Registration is possible until October 22nd.
