Announced in 2019, Crimson Desert carried the aura of “game that never releases”, but that should change soon (we hope). Created by the same studio as Black Desert OnlinePearl Abyss, the game just got a new gameplay sample during the opening night of Gamescom.
Mounts, beautiful surroundings, side activities, seemingly big world, trading, fishing, gathering supplies…etc. Everything a self-respecting RPG should have. Negative point only for the absence of a release date.
Crimson Desert will not be an MMORPG
While Pearl Abyss is very experienced with MMORPGs, this new project will be a narrative-focused RPG. There will even be components with online aspects, but nothing to the same extent as Black Desert Online.

As you traverse the cities of Pywel, be it the Desert Oasis or the Ulsrund of Kweiden, the land of the wolf, expect to encounter filthy alleys, derelict huts, and market language that would make even a Troll blush. Each location has its own unique character that is both fantastical and grounded in gritty realism.
