Criminal Relations in the Police: Disbanded and Reinstated; Notice to dismiss policemen having connection with criminals | Malayalam News, Kerala News | Manorama Online

Thiruvananthapuram – An ASI under the criminal list of the police, who was dismissed once and then reinstated after the intervention of a higher official, has been given a notice to dismiss again. Kochi City Thrikakkara Police Station Grade ASI K.S. MR Girish Babu is the ADGP in charge of law and order. Ajith Kumar gave the notice. It is suggested to reply within 15 days.

The dismissal notice is as per rule 36 of the Kerala Police Department Inquiries Punishment Appeal.

Girish Babu, accused in three criminal cases and facing departmental action 10 times, was dismissed from service on April 4 last year after serious allegations were made against him. It was taken back after an appeal to ADGP Vijay Sakhar, who was in charge of law and order at that time.

The action was reduced to two increments of revocation with relaxation of the dismissal. After this, he faced departmental action three more times in criminal transactions. Girish Babu is among the top ten people who are ready to dismiss those with criminal connections. Beypur Coastal Station Inspector P.R. Sunu, Thiruvananthapuram city and three other people who were found to be involved in gangs were dismissed last month.
