Political analyst Slaheddine Jourchi told Tunisie Numérique today that the President of the Republic Kais Saied wants to deal with the issue of businessmen in his own way revealing that this question will be among the most dangerous topics.
He assured that the Head of State will get tired because of this file given the difficult political, economic and social situation that the country is currently going through.
He clarified that the situation will be further complicated given that the way Kais Saied is handling this file is offensive adding that this one relies on obsolete records.
The speaker said that several influential businessmen involved in the country’s development process will be affected by the penal reconciliation project. this will be a blow to the country’s economyin his words.
Jourchi said that despite the existence of several corrupt businessmen, there are many who are honest and not involved in corruption cases. The latter have already announced that they were forced to leave the country to invest their money abroad.
The political analyst clarified that the way in which the President of the Republic wants to deal with this file has been criticized by several experts in the field. The latter explained to him on many occasions that this method might have been more effective than if it had been applied after 14 January.
“Even if this project is not subject to an action for annulment, several businessmen will oppose its execution”he specified.
And to add that this process will take a lot of time and effort, which will further complicate the situation, according to Jourchi.
