A family from the town of Hernández experienced a night of terror yesterday, due to an attempt to seize their property by at least three criminals. It happened in the early hours of the morning.
They caused damage at the scene and injured the owner in his attempt to defend himself.
The crime sequence took place in a house at 514 between 135 and 136. In circumstances that have yet to be detailed, the thieves tried to enter the property and took its owners by surprise.
The attack by the subjects was absolutely violent, since in their attempt to obtain money and valuables, they broke the glass of a window in order to enter the building.
However, they were met with stubborn resistance with punches and kicks.
The man “did not get off cheaply” as he suffered several cuts to his leg and arms, which caused significant blood loss.
However, his defense was effective, as he managed to put the attackers to flight.
In contact with this newspaper, the victim mentioned that “we are tired of reporting this type of situation to the Hernández police station,” referring to the constant robberies that occur in the neighborhood.
“They blew out the window in my room. They had a gun. The dogs started barking and I heard the noise. It was around 3 o’clock and when I looked out there were two guys at the window in front of me. When they tried to get in I managed to hit them and they left,” he said.
“I kicked and punched the person who wanted to enter the room and that’s when I cut myself. I feel quite helpless, because if you make a mistake, you end up badly,” he lamented.
“My family arrived faster than the police, who took more than 15 minutes, because they were involved in another robbery,” he said.
As if that were not enough, a group of residents, tired of the insecurity, demanded urgent measures to stop the robberies at 522 and 149.
