Tremendous image that leaves us the day of the Champions League of the African Football Confederation. The return meeting between the Al-Ittihad, from Libya, and Esperance, from Tunisia, finished 1-0 in favor of the Tunisian team, but the protagonist was the goalkeeper of the Libyan team for a criminal action.
It was the 75th minute this Sunday at the Radés Sports Stadium (Tunisia) when, in an attempt to clear the ball, the goalkeeper Muad Ellafi charged Hamdou Elhouni with a kick to the neck, rival forward.
The player was lying on the ground and had to be removed on a stretcher to later go directly to the hospital.
The referee immediately showed the red card to Ellafi, that once the meeting was over went to the hospital to worry about Elhouni’s condition and wish him a speedy recovery.
