The public prosecutor’s office has claimed an investigating judge in the Mega World case.

The net quickly closes around Mega World. The public prosecutor’s office has requested the appointment of an investigating judge in the context of a criminal investigation. Dirk Bron is suspected of being guilty of a series of infringements. This concerns forgery of documents, use of false documents, forgery of the annual accounts and misuse of corporate assets. That can be punished with five years in prison.
The criminal investigation comes after the union ACV Puls had submitted a file to the public prosecutor’s office. It also referred to the transfer of important sums to foreign accounts. The public prosecutor’s office had also advised last week not to grant Mega World, which requested protection against creditors.
This morning, the corporate court followed this point of view. The corporate court even delivered two judgments. The court rejected the request for judicial reorganization (protection from creditors) but went a step further by officially appointing two temporary administrators. They are expected to file for bankruptcy on the company.
