The Valcen police have opened a criminal case and are trying to establish the identity of a person, as well as the circumstances in which he died after several bone fragments found by mountain rescuers on Saturday under the Ţucla peak in the Buila-Vânturariţa massif, reports Agerpres.
“On October 14 this year, the police were alerted to the fact that, in the town of Costeşti, in the mountain area of the Ţucla peak in the Buila – Vânturariţa massif, several bone fragments were found. After going to the scene, the police identified several bone fragments and several articles of clothing. The bone fragments and the objects in question were taken by the representatives of the Vâlcea County Forensic Medicine Service in order to carry out the medico-legal expertise”, the representatives of the Vâlcea County Police Inspectorate (IPJ) sent.
The authorities do not rule out that the person in question is a 67-year-old man from Craiova, who disappeared in August in the area of Pătrunsa Monastery, the mountain rescuers from Vâlceni specifying that he most likely fell in a rocky area.
