Crimes Committed by Boaventura, Vieira, Rui Costa, and Domingos Soares de Oliveira: Francisco J. Marques’ Claim

FC Porto communication director defends himself against the aggravation of the crimes that were attributed to him

Francisco J. Marques commented this Tuesday night, in Porto Canal, on the Court’s recent decision regarding the aggravation of the crimes that were attributed to him, like Diogo Faria, in the context of the Case of Emails. And he ended the attack: “Let’s wait quietly. We all know who committed crimes. César Boaventura, Luís Filipe Vieira, Rui Costa, Domingos Soares Oliveira… these committed crimes. Dedicate yourself to these, these are the real criminals. ” Earlier, FC Porto’s director of information and communication started like this: “I don’t feel very comfortable [para falar do tema], because I am one of the defendants. But I am convinced, we all are, that we must be acquitted. We made disclosures that helped a lot to discover these things. If there was ‘Case E-mole’, this situation of César Boaventura, if there were all these investigations in relation to Benfica, it owes a lot to the disclosures that were made here. We have argued in court that there is a public interest in these disclosures and we will fight for this until the end. Whatever happens on May 12th, this will continue to be discussed on appeal. We do not commit a crime, we help, we contribute and we have always provided the authorities with all the material that was delivered to us. Afterwards, the rest has nothing to do with us. They came to talk about privacy, about offense to the collective person because of a book. A book? Is this like North Korea? At issue was the prescription, now is it like this? Why are you going to prescribe it gets worse?”.
