At a time when almost 1.5 million citizens are asking for the removal of immunity for the crime of Tempe and 8 out of 10 see a cover-up for what happened on the night of the 28her In February, but also in the days that followed, the authorities kept a fishy silence and did not even respond to journalistic questions. The reason for the Forensic Service, which as Documento revealed has been guilty of wrongdoing, the Ministry of Justice and the Criminal Investigation Department of Athens.
They are silent and do not even bother to answer the journalistic questions as they should and should be answered.
A few weeks ago, Documento made a revelation about how the forensic service worked in the case of Tempe and how it did not follow any protocol when performing an autopsy on the victims of the train tragedy, with the result that today the relatives of the victims and the victims themselves investigative authorities not to have knowledge of very important facts.

Silent fish from the competent Coroner
Documento sent written questions to the head of the forensic services at the time of the accident in Tempi, Mr. Karakoukis, who had actually moved to Larissa at that time. Mr. Karakoukis was asked by what criteria certain forensic examiners were appointed and not others, which forensic examiners signed the forensic reports and who merely attended and supervised and where lies their contribution and the legitimacy of their presence?
Also, according to our report, autopsies were performed with unknown evidence and without an initial order, while toxicological, histological and other specialized tests were not performed in accordance with all the official protocols that exist. Mr. Karakoukis, who was also asked about these elements of the report officially and in writing, has not given us any official answer until today.
No response from the Ministry of Justice either
We also sent questions to the Ministry of Justice regarding the criteria on the basis of which specific forensic examiners were selected in the case of the Tempe train accident, whether European harmonization and the mass disaster protocol were applied by the forensic services and other related questions.
The forensics doesn’t answer either
Finally, from our report on the omissions of the forensic service, there was testimony from a parent whose child was a victim of the crime in Tempe, that in a telephone call he had with the forensic service of Larissa, he was told that “all the material that has been kept from the victims, as well as material collected later have been sent to the Criminal Investigation Department in Athens”. For this reason, Documento sent a written request to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations of Athens, so that we know how the procedures are progressing.
What does the silence hide?
None of the above bothered to answer us even to keep up the pretense. Why do the authorities refuse to answer simple questions? How, of course, should they answer and what should they say? How has every protocol in existence been compromised? As the people say, silence hides guilt. Since this is a case of enormous interest, everyone involved must answer.
