“Crime on the Rise in Hérault Prefecture: Police Mobilize to Combat Burglaries and Snatching”

With approximately 250,000 inhabitants, the Hérault prefecture is the third largest city in the South of France behind Marseille and Nice. In 2011, local crime, the one that most directly affects the population, increased by 11%. A sharp increase due in particular to the multiplication of burglaries, also to snatching. The various police brigades are mobilizing to stem this trend.
