Crime – Freiburg im Breisgau – Fraud: Men swindle luxury goods from online shops – Panorama

Freiburg (dpa / lsw) – Two men are said to have stolen numerous luxury items from online shops through a scam. The Freiburg district court has now issued arrest warrants against both, the police said on Wednesday.

The two suspects, aged 43 and 49, ordered high-quality electronic items, clothing, jewelry and perfume from different websites from January 2018 to May 2021. However, they would then have stated to the shops that they had received the wrong goods or no goods at all. In order to make the complaints credible, they are said to have sent back other inferior products in some cases. The men then received a refund from the online shops.

They are said to be accused of fraud in 87 cases. Articles worth around 40,000 euros were seized during searches. The investigation began in October 2021.
