Crime – Freiburg im Breisgau – brawls and quarrels in state reception facilities – Panorama

Freiburg/Ellwangen (dpa/lsw) – Several people were injured, some seriously, in a brawl in the state reception center in Freiburg. A 33-year-old man was taken into police custody. According to the Security Service, several opponents hit each other on Tuesday evening, some with poles, according to a police report on Wednesday. By the time patrol officers arrived, the opponents had split up. However, the men sustained injuries. According to the police, some changed their clothes to cover up their involvement. Police suspect that a midday brawl with some of the same participants was the trigger for the renewed row.

A dispute also broke out in the state reception center of Ellwangen (Ostalbkreis) on Wednesday night. One person was taken to hospital with injuries. According to the police, 30 people were involved. The reason was probably a quarrel between two residents and employees of the security service, probably because a smoke detector had been handled and set off.
