Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) – After the suspicion of a violent crime, the Düsseldorf police are still looking for a missing 58-year-old. The son (40), who is in custody on suspicion of manslaughter, is silent, according to a spokeswoman for the Düsseldorf public prosecutor. A homicide squad is investigating the case.

The 40-year-old was found in his mother’s apartment and arrested. According to the investigators, there is a suspicion that he has something to do with the disappearance of his mother. Both lived together for some time. The investigators discovered traces of blood in the apartment and also on clothes that belong to the son.

The reference to the disappearance of the 58-year-old was given by her second son, the 40-year-old’s brother. The woman has already been missing for a week, missing persons was reported on Wednesday and a first search was started.
