The well-known news site Candiadoc denounces Piraeus Bank’s refusal to open an account with a new company. According to the site, the bank is illegal and it is not the first time.
The related publication describes a gag situation that started with a debt to the tax office and escalated with a ban from advertising, while there are already agreements.
“Without any provision of the law, written or unwritten, and while every legal procedure has been successfully completed, Piraeus Bank rejected the request to create a bank account for the new company under the incredible pretext that the administrator is the same administrator (Alekos Andrikakis) who was also in previous one and because in the previous one there is a seizure which is apparently distributed to him as well!”, he writes.
In fact, Candiadoc reports that “we asked the bank to get the answer in writing, but they told us that such a document does not exist (some people know what they are doing…). We demanded to know who made such an illegal decision, which clearly has purpose. We didn’t learn that either, as “there is no such obligation from the bank”, as they told us…”.
As Candiadoc reports in detail, this is not the first time he has had problems with this particular bank. In 2022 the bank had blocked the only account for a debt of 1400 euros.
