«As soon as I have a recruitment problem, I call the CREPI. They are responsive and have a network that allows them to find atypical profiles“says Benoît Galy, director of Onet Logistique in Rouvignies, near Valenciennes. And he knows what he’s talking about. This northern boss manages the logistics of one of the two French Michelin distribution sites (the second is in Clermont-Ferrand): 65,000 m2 with 200,000 tires stored, which require a lot of handling to be unloaded from the trucks coming from the manufacturing plants. , before being sent back to the mechanics. The site went from 70 to 120 employees in 2018, “and without any hiring probleminsists Benoit Galy, who received the Gold Business Award from the CREPI Awards.
Integration in all its forms
As with the Sitel call center in Wasquehal or the regional social landlord Sia Habitat, if Onet Logistique can count on the help of CREPI in terms of recruitment, it is also because these companies are committed alongside CREPI in a certain number of integration actions which today justify these awards: involvement in the PAQTE project (public system which allows signatory companies to contribute to the development of priority neighborhoods in the city), reception of young people in internship or apprenticeship, sponsorship of job seekers by company employees, or inclusion of people with disabilities.
The three winning companies are already part of CREPI Hauts de France, the regional club of integration partner companies, which supports atypical job seekers, relying on a network of companies seeking to diversify their recruitment. «174 companies of all sizes and from all sectors are involved in this network. Thanks to our 5 employees, 339 people have been hired by these member companies, both without a diploma and with a Bac+5.», specifies Bertrand Maillard, president of CREPI Hauts de France.
CSR approach
The Leroux company in Orchies hosted this first edition of the CREPI Awards. To follow the common thread of corporate social and environmental responsibility, the network wanted the diplomas awarded to be made of wood, by the Quiévrechain production school, near Valenciennes. A training center that puts young dropouts back in the saddle in the carpentry and wood construction sectors.
To which are added dozens of trees offered to each winner, which have just been planted on a farm between Arras and Bapaume, with the help of the Cooperative Forestier du Nord. This graduation was accompanied by the launch of a club of patrons to financially support CREPI in its actions, with the first signatories Leroux, Cerballiance, Noriap, Afec, WiiSMILE and Vakom.
Double award-winning Onet
The story does not end there since on March 8, the 16 branches of CREPI will meet in Paris for a national ceremony. Five prizes will be awarded to the most committed companies. A jury – including Elisabeth Moreno, Minister Delegate for Equality between Women and Men, Diversity and Equal Opportunities, and Benoît de Ruffray, CEO of Eiffage – has already met to shortlist the winners. Among them is Onet Logistique, which will thus be awarded for the second time.
