Credit to the Word optimizes crops

Tepalcingo.- Medardo Alarcón Vargas, a producer of corn and sorghum in the municipality of Tepalcingo, described the Credit to the Word program as a great support, promoted by the Government led by Cuauhtémoc Blanco Bravo through the Secretariat of Agricultural Development (Sedagro) in coordination with the federation.

He asserted that, in addition to not generating any type of interest, he receives said economic aid in a timely manner, which has allowed him to sow his plots.

“Here are my crops, it has helped me a lot and I hope they continue to support me; The benefit of the Word Credit is that I do not pay interest, that is a great help ”, highlighted the producer.

Medardo Alarcón indicated that each year he has received this financial support and uses it to buy seeds, fertilizer and agrochemicals, which has allowed him to increase his harvests, so he complies with the payments on time to be subject to credit next year.

“Through Credit to the Word, which is the only one we have, they support us with five hectares, I am sowing between 13 and 15, of which 4 or 5 are corn and the others sorghum”, he mentioned.

The Sedagro reported that through the program in reference, in the first three years of this administration, more than 5,400 sorghum and corn producers were served with variable quotas according to the technological development they used, ranging from 7,000 to 12,000 pesos. credit per hectare. The estimated economic benefit in these crops is over 88 million pesos.

It should be noted that this credit derives from the signing of an agreement of the State Government, through the Secretariat of Agricultural Development (Sedagro) with Trusts Instituted in Relation to Agriculture (FIRA) and also, from the Special Fund for Technical Assistance and Guarantee for Agricultural Credits (FEGA) and National Finance.
