In Costa Rica there is the Costa Rican Network of Organizations for Microenterprises (Redcom), which currently maintains 11 affiliated associations or foundations (microfinance institutions), most of this type existing in the country. Both its executive director, Carlos Hernández, and the president of its board of directors, Juan Pablo Montoya, explained to EF that the stagnation in terms of the volume of credits also occurred in 2018, after the slowdown in the growth of national production.
