According to Mincit, more than $ 115 billion will be allocated to the economic reactivation of the country’s micro-enterprises, especially those created by women.

The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Innpulsa Colombia and Bancóldex launched the line of credit “Adelante para las microempresas – economy para la gente II”, a financial solution aimed at the economic reactivation of microenterprises in all economic sectors of the country.
The maximum amount per operation is up to $ 50 million and, within the financial facilities of the line, there are maximum terms of up to three years, with grace periods of up to three months, explained Mincit.

“The alliance between the Ministry of Commerce, Bancóldex and Innpulsa to launch the line allows us to consolidate a significant financing quota and guarantee the liquidity that the country’s microenterprises need at this time to continue advancing on the path towards safe economic reactivation”, said María Ximena Lombana Villalba, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism.
Javier Díaz Fajardo, president of Bancóldex, said that “the growth of microenterprises is tied to the economic reactivation of the country, but we know that it is not enough, for this reason, we created a line of credit that includes significant financial relief for microentrepreneurs quickly reactivate their businesses, with longer terms and grace periods ”.
According to DANE, in the second quarter of 2021, the number of micro-businesses increased 9.5% compared to the same period of 2020. The personnel employed by these economic units increased 8.5% and sales or income grew 57.5% in this time interval.
