Credit is like an opiate, but we will wake up and it will be scary – 2024-09-10 10:47:14

/ world today news/ For a long time it has been difficult for me to understand the management style of the current government, and of the previous government as well. Recently, I have observed that the actions of the authorities are very fast and urgent – strategic decisions are made in almost 2 minutes, and a week later they turn out to be wrong.

Remember, last year in one week they liquidated the second pillar of the pension system by passing the law on the nationalization of universal pension funds. Now it is silent and it is not clear whether the law will be applied or not. And today they quickly decide that some 8 billion euros of debt should be taken, no matter what they call it – emission program or credit. They have even already signed contracts with four banks.

The behavior of GERB’s coalition partners is also strange. Personally, I am absolutely disgusted by political figures who spoke so much against Borisov’s party, and then turned around and embraced them.

In my opinion, there is some very serious problem that they are not telling us about and that is why they are speeding up the loan to ensure a year or two of easy spending.

But if they take the loan, it will really bury Bulgaria in a heavy debt burden.

And as a result, we will pay the price for choosing these people to rule us. This price will be very high, but… we like it that way. We Bulgarians must wake up and understand that we are in dire straits, today, at this moment. But to get out of it we have to do it together, wisely, at the cost of many sacrifices. However, I doubt that we are capable of realizing this. The media does not help, on the contrary – it confuses its audience. Which journalist asked – what is this loan, how, why? They are units. Is the loan of 8 billion euros not pouring huge money into the bottomless pit again? And no one thinks that this landing someone should repair it, plug its holes.

Because credit is like an opiate – we will go into debt again and again, and finally we will wake up and the hangover or withdrawal will be very scary.

It is very likely that Prime Minister Borissov will use part of the resource from the loan to ensure peace of mind and for his party to win the local elections, which is a good springboard on his way to the presidential chair. Although, if he succeeds, he will be the president of a completely ruined country.

There is no longer a difference in our country between money and power – a lot of money gives power and vice versa. After this vicious circle and the catastrophe with the billion debt that is visible on the horizon, I hope that our people will finally see the light of day. Because we are walking briskly towards our official ruin. Let us be under no illusions – after such a financial shock it will take us a decade or two to stabilize, if we are able to do so at all. If not, others will do it for us.

But we will no longer be a sovereign state…
