Crédit Agricole employees stop work for two hours

the essential
This Wednesday, December 6, for two hours, many Crédit Agricole employees left their jobs. They are demanding a value sharing bonus.

A first in 25 years. Crédit Agricole employees have not left their jobs since 1998. Yesterday, many Aveyron employees from the North Midi-Pyrénées branch did so for two hours, just like many regional funds. “It’s historic!”even called out one of the employees on the spot.

The trade union organizations, united with one voice, are demanding the payment of a Value Sharing Bonus (ex-Macron bonus), up to €3,000 at the end of 2023. “Our colleagues deserve it no less than those of Crédit Mutuel, who received it, but above all the regional banks which have more than 95 billion euros in equity and which still achieve more than 3 billion euros in results at the end of September 2023 have the means to do so”assures the CFE-CGC, the majority union. Also, 120 people out of the 280 employees on site, mobilized in front of the Aveyron administrative site, located in the heart of Causse Comtal, to demand this bonus. But above all, seven agencies remained closed between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., in Rodez, Laissac, Laguiole, Bozouls, Sévérac-le-Château and Saint-Geniez-d’Olt. “We are not satisfied with the negotiations that were carried out in Paris, we ask for recognition while the cost of living is increasing”note Michel Sanchez and Loïc Bellas, CFE-CGC and CGT union delegates.

Contacted, Pascal Duprat, the deputy general director declared “take note of this mobilization”and wait “the evolution of the negotiations currently being carried out in Paris”.
