Jakarta, Selular.ID – In the midst of Distance Learning (PJJ) activities, the teaching profession is ‘required’ to follow technological developments in order to be able to deliver lessons more optimally. Various stories also emerged about how teachers adapted to presenting classrooms in a virtual format.
Most teachers have now switched to teaching using video conferencing, delivering teaching materials through text, video, or infographics that can provoke students’ interest. In addition to collaboration and interaction with students that must be done through digital platforms, teachers are also required to be more creative in finding the right Learning Management System (LMS) platform in order to make learning activities more effective and efficient.
To motivate and increase the enthusiasm of teachers in presenting optimal teaching innovations, Lenovo collaborates with Zenius to hold a “Creative Material Video Competition”. This competition was created to provide an opportunity for teachers to show, share, and inspire the creative ways presented in PJJ activities.
This competition is open to all teachers at the school level, starting from elementary school (SD), junior high school (SMP) and high school (SMA) teachers throughout Indonesia.
As Zenius’ Chief of Teachers’ Initiative Amanda Witdarmono said, “Carrying out the role of a teacher is not an easy task. Every teacher is required to continue to adapt to new habits, including adopting technology as an innovation in learning activities, especially in the midst of a pandemic. We hope that the competition, which is held together with Lenovo, can add motivation and encouragement to every teacher who never gets tired of continuing to teach and educate students as the nation’s next generation.”
Johny Dermawan, REL Director of Lenovo Indonesia said, “The changing education landscape requires not only technological support but also renewal of learning methods. Lenovo and Microsoft recently conducted a survey on eLearning in Asia Pacific including Indonesia which included input from students and parents that the main challenge of e-learning is the lack of interaction during learning both with teachers and friends in class and students are less motivated to attend. . This means that students want personalized learning methods that are interesting and of course fun.”
“This competition is expected to inspire teachers and students to be motivated to keep learning. Through the Edvision program, Lenovo realizes its commitment to always provide training to teachers to support the digital skills of teachers in Indonesia,” added Johny.
The Creative Video Competition period will be closed on 31 August. Teachers who are interested in participating in this competition can directly register and upload videos of creative learning materials with quick and fun tricks developed from a Lesson Plan (RPP) for students.
Six winners will receive prizes in the form of a Lenovo laptop and a teach coaching session from Zenius.
