“Creating a Stylish and Comfortable Home Away from Home at Burtown House’s Stable Yard”

Decorating a room can be both exciting and overwhelming. With endless options and varying styles, it can be challenging to know where to start. However, for some, the process of decorating a room is approached with a unique perspective. They decorate the room as if they are about to shoot it, ensuring that every detail is camera-ready and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. If it doesn’t work for the camera, it doesn’t work for the eye. This approach to decorating is gaining popularity as more individuals recognize the importance of creating Instagram-worthy spaces. In this article, we will delve into the world of decorating with a camera-ready perspective and explore how it can transform your space.

The Stable Yard at Burtown House is a renovated accommodation owned by James Fennell and his family. James and his family lived in the Stable Yard for eight years while they were restoring Burtown House, which has been in his family since it was built in 1710. The estate features on the Fab 50 list of the best places to stay in Ireland this year. The converted stables offer two spaces, a house that can accommodate up to eight people and a studio apartment with four-poster beds and floor-to-ceiling windows. The decor has a blend of elegant essentials such as farmhouse tables made from the estate’s elm and personal effects such as sketches by James’ mother and pieces from his wife Joanna’s family home. James and his family are now back in the main house, and the Stable Yard is on rent. The estate is heated by a biomass woodchip system, and almost all the produce served in the Green Barn restaurant is cultivated on-site. Studio apartment rates start from €225.

In conclusion, decorating a room is not just about making it look aesthetically pleasing. It’s about creating a space that is both functional and visually appealing. By approaching room decor like a photographer, you can ensure that every detail contributes to the overall composition and captures the essence of the room. Remember, if it doesn’t work for the camera, it doesn’t work for the eye. So take your time, think about the angles, and pay attention to the little things, because those are what truly make a room shine. Happy decorating!
