Good evening everyone,
I have a general question.
One of my Instagram accounts was blocked on May 8th, 2023. The reason I received via email was that the content I had posted violated Instagram’s terms of use. I honestly can’t explain that. My account content at the time was or still is on Instagram in various versions… my objection to this blocking was ignored, and I have not received any information to date.
I then created a new account which closed today on the grounds that I was violating other people’s intellectual property rights. Now I don’t understand anything anymore, I didn’t post any pictures that were stolen in any way. I also objected to this… but I just got the same answer from Instagram support as I got this afternoon… but this time in English instead of German (like this afternoon shortly after the blocking). Oh well, thanks for nothing. I was also told that someone had reported me. I still don’t understand why they just block me instead of flagging the post first, but oh well.
Now I have created a new account again. However, I noticed a sentence that was in the blocking email from this afternoon.
“You cannot use Instagram to create new accounts if we have previously disabled your account for violating our terms of use or policies. Accordingly, your accounts have been disabled and you will no longer be able to use Instagram.”
Hence my question…
Should I be worried that my new account will also be blocked? I still have a private Instagram account… but (as of now) it still exists. Has anyone had any experience with this?
