Create a Positive Environment for People with Dementia during Pandemic Times

NOVA.id – Commemorate the month Alzheimer 9th world, Foundation Alzheimer Indonesia (ALZI) once again held a webinar with the theme “Let’s Talk About Dementia” or “Let’s Talk About Dementia”.

This webinar which took place on Saturday, September 19, 2020 discusses “Creating Meaningful Life For People with Dementia and Family Caregivers ”which is also the culmination of a series of monthly webinar events Alzheimer in Indonesia.

This webinar was officially opened by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo with representatives of the Minister of Health, dr. Terawan Agus Putranto.

At the celebration, the President through the Minister of Terawan expressed his gratitude to ALZI who consistently developed a sense of community concern for ODD and family.

“The public needs an organization like the Alzheimer Foundation Indonesia which continues to remind us of the dangers of Alzheimer’s dementia and stop understanding it,” said Minister of Health, dr. Terawan Agus Putranto, who read the remarks directly from President Joko Widodo.

“There are quite a lot of challenges faced by families and ODD in their daily activities, but the assistance from caregivers is what we should support in caring for patient health.”
