Famous for his way of sowing salt, chef Nusret Gocke or familiarly called Salt Bae is now a successful entrepreneur in a luxury restaurant. There are several of his steak restaurants spread across Dubai, London and America.
When visiting Salt Bae Steakhouse, visitors need to pack a thick wallet. Salt Bae recently uploaded a meal bill of one of its visitors who spent around DH 615,065 or the Rp equivalent. 2.6 billion! This restaurant had dinner at Nusr-Et Steakhouse Abu Dhabi.

“Quality is never expensive,” Salt Bae boasted, complete with photos of the bill. Judging from the writing, 14 people ate at the table on Nov 17, 2022 as reported by Khaleejtimes (11/19).

One of the most expensive dishes this visitor ordered was five bottles of Petrus wine, costing up to DH 325,000 (Rp 1.3 billion). Then the guests also ordered two more bottles of the 2009 Petrus wine, which cost around DH 200,000 (Rp. 854 million).
Guests also ordered 5 portions of beef carpaccio for DH 1,200 (Rp 5.1 million) as a starter. So they ordered two portions of Golden Ottoman steak for DH 5,500 (Rp 23.4 million). Not to forget other pieces of golden steak, namely two servings of Golden Sirt for (Rp. 19.2 million).
Besides ordering expensive wines and golden steaks, these guests ordered complementary dishes such as onion blossoms, french fries, up to 15 servings of golden baklava for DH 5,850 (Rp. 25 million) for dessert.

Many netizens made comments of surprise, to the point of wondering that there are people who can spend billions of rupees on a dinner.
“Seeing this food bill, and I immediately thought about my patient who can’t afford the cost of a liver transplant and that saddens me,” commented @naf *** who works as a doctor.
“The total bill of this dinner bill can save a city from starvation for several days. I’m sorry to see that nobody should have to pay DH 450 (Rp. 2 million) just for water,” criticized @thef**.
“Damn! I already complained when I ordered wagyu steak for 200 dollars (3.1 million rupees),” wrote @man**.
If you look at people’s reviews, many agree that this is a restaurant Nusret in Istanbul, Turkey, much cheaper and tastier than outlets in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
