Crazy Rich Surabaya's Cleo Brand Mineral Water Factory Begins Operation in IKN

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Owned mineral water issuer crazy rich Surabaya Hermanto Tanoko PT Sariguna Primatirta Tbk. (CLEO) or Tanobel Group, reports that it has started operating a drinking water factory in the National Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago at the end of 2023. The Cleo brand mineral water factory serves as far as Samarinda and Balikpapan.

In its official statement, CLEO stated that the operation of the factory was proof of its seriousness in supporting the development of the new capital city by investing and exploiting market potential in the IKN area. The factory is located in Karya Merdeka, Samboja District, Kutai Kartanegara, this factory is about 40 minutes from the IKN Zero Point.

“The start of operation of our factory in IKN, apart from being a strategic step in developing the distribution supply chain outside Java, also has a very strong symbolic meaning, where CLEO is present with a convincing investment in the new government center, with a location in the middle of the Republic of Indonesia. Indonesia,” said Melisa Patricia, CEO of CLEO, in her official statement received Monday (8/1/2024).

In 2023, CLEO has spent around IDR 300 billion on factory construction, additional machinery, and strengthening the distribution network through investment. Thus, the Tanobel Group will start 2024 with ownership of 32 Cleo brand drinking water factories, and become the bottled drinking water (AMDK) producer with the largest factories in Indonesia.

CLEO stated that this year it will invest IDR 300 billion again in adding new factories, developing existing factories, adding machines to increase production capacity and automation, and expanding the distribution network. The plan is that the Company will build 3 new factories in Palu, Central Sulawesi; Pontianak, West Kalimantan; and Pekanbaru, Riau.

With this expansion plan, CLEO is confident that the double digit growth target every year, from top to bottom line will be achieved, including in 2024.
