Hasnuryadi, who is a member of the DPR-RI from South Kalimantan, along with other members of the Haji Leman family, now own a shipping company that has been publicly traded since last year, namely Hasnur International Shipping (HAIS).

HAIS currently owns and operates 12 sets of tugboats and barges with various carrying capacities ranging from 7,500-10,000 tons. In 2019, HIS achieved a total haul of 6.8 million MT of coal cargo.

Hasnuryadi’s father, Abdussamad Sulaiman, who is familiarly called Haji Leman, founded the Hasnur Group on August 27, 1966 with his late wife Hajah Nurhayati.

Haji Leman died in Jakarta on June 14 2015 at the age of 67 years, while his deceased wife, Hj Siti Nurhayati also passed away on Saturday January 2 2016 in Medina while performing Umrah to the Holy Land.

This successful business couple leaves behind seven children, three of whom are often highlighted by the public, namely Jayanti Sari (President Director of HIS, second child), Hasnuryadi Sulaiman (businessman who controls the PS Barito Putera soccer club, and is also a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the 2019-2024 and 2014 terms of service). -2019), and the youngest, Zainal Hadi, who mostly takes care of Hasnur’s subsidiaries.

Haji Leman started a business in the field of river transportation as the forerunner to the establishment of the Hasnur Group in 1966. Hasnur is a combination of the names of H. Abdussamad Sulaiman HB (HAS) and his wife Hj. Nurhayati (NUR).

Hasnur Group’s business activities, which started from river transportation, shipbuilding, and the forestry sector, continue to grow and develop into various business sectors, including coal mining, roads and special coal terminals, and agribusiness.

Others are transportation, shipping, construction, professional football clubs, mass media, and sports school education.

In addition to running a business business, Hasnur Group is also active in social activities through the Hasnur Center Foundation which houses several educational institutions ranging from early childhood education to university level in South Kalimantan.
