Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Tesla was not only used in urban areas. Because there are also those who use it in remote areas and are even referred to as Tesla villages.
The people in the Tesla village use their products with the aim of being used as a way of doing business and selling.
This village is located in the mountains of Yunnan province, southwest China. The village is called Panzhiga, and the owner of the first Tesla there is Cai Run, quoted from Cnevpost, Sunday (3/4/2022).
Cai Run is told to return to his hometown after working for years in another city. His aim was to open a country hotel and provide accommodation for tourists.
From Cai Run’s recommendation, finally there were 30 villagers who bought Tesla.
In a video, Cai Run says that when there are not enough hotel rooms, visitors can spend the night in a Tesla Model Y. He added that some people who use camping mode like the feature.
However, the idea was actually opposed and thought Cai Run was crazy. At first, Panzhiga did not have adequate charging facilities for the car like those available in big cities.
But now Panzhiga has its own charging station. Tesla on its Weibo account explained that the village was the first to have a recharge station with CEO Elon Musk’s signature.
For information, the Y model in China sold up to 16,358 units in January this year. The number jumped 896.8% from 1,641 units in the previous year, according to a report by the China Passenger Car Association.
