Crazy Marquez, Hit Me 3 Times

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Aprilia racer Aleix Espargaro consider Alex Marquez crazy after reaching the third podium MotoGP Portugal 2022 at the Portimao Circuit, Sunday (24/4).

Espargaro expressed his frustration with Marquez after the MotoGP Portugal 2022 race. The 32-year-old thought that Marc Marquez’s younger brother made him lose a lot of time at the start of the race.

Not only is it considered a waste of time, Marquez is called Espargaro, who often performs dangerous maneuvers like the one in the Mandalika MotoGP.

“I tried everything. I had a bad start, we had a problem with the clutch, that’s something we have to improve. Then I lost a lot of time with Alex Marquez, again like in MotoGP Mandalika he raced over the limit, he hit me three times, ” said Espargaro after the race quoted from Spotv Asia.

“I don’t understand why, because in the end he didn’t have the pace to compete. He was really crazy. We lost a lot of time, I don’t think it needed to happen. But this is a race, in the end I tried to make a comeback as strong as possible.” continued Espargaro.

Espargaro, who started from third position, got lucky in the MotoGP Portugal 2022 race. An accident involving Joan Mir and Jack Miller allowed the former Suzuki rider to finish in third place.

“I started chasing the leader group, except for Quartararo who is on another planet in this race. I thought I could compete for second place, but I destroyed the rear tire,” said Espargaro.

“I have no grip at all, especially on the left corner. But I’m still happy to get this podium after competing with the best riders,” said Espargaro.

The third podium at the MotoGP Portugal 2022 makes Aleix Espargaro in third place in the MotoGP 2022 standings with 66 points. Espargaro is only three points adrift of Fabio Quartararo at the top of the standings.
