‘Crazy Greek’ interrupts interviews and causes ‘complete panic’

A Greek has caused a lot of chaos in the mixed zone of the OPAP Arena in Athens, reporter Pascal Kamperman said in front of the ESPN camera. About 45 minutes after the end of the European Championship qualifying match between Greece and the Netherlands (0-1), the journalist talks about a ‘crazy Greek man’ who ‘picks fights with everything and everyone’.
“Brobbey walked past, but he doesn’t want to talk anymore. He is following the trail of one Greek man here, who is completely going crazy,” Kamperman said. “He managed to cause complete panic in this mixed zone in half an hour.”
“He has argued with everything and everyone at the KNVB. Monique Kessels is the one at the KNVB who arranges press affairs. She wouldn’t hurt a fly, but she was almost removed from this zone by the police and security because that gentleman thought it necessary.”
“According to him, she was not allowed to be here. Meanwhile, further down the road, the gentleman is still going completely crazy. It’s going ‘Greek’, so to speak. Sore losers in that regard.”
“There is certainly more chaos here than we saw in the match,” Kamperman concludes. “It is an embarrassing spectacle when you see how the people of the KNVB, us, and fellow journalists are treated here. Colleagues have also been sent away and removed with a heavy hand. This is about nothing at all.”
Quilindschy Hartman
A few minutes after Kamperman’s report, Hartman appeared in front of the camera. While the left back was conducting the interview, he was interrupted by the alleged chaos in the press area.
“It’s safe here. Feyenoord supporters, don’t worry,” Hartman responded with a smile at an appropriate distance from the unrest in the mixed zone.
