Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Hartono Brothers’ Djarum Group gave another surprise to the Indonesian capital market. Most recently, in today’s trading, Friday (1/10/2021), the Djarum Group is estimated to spend nearly Rp 20 trillion amid the company’s plan to acquire two issuers.
The two issuers in question are the Ranch Market managing company PT Supra Boga Lestari Tbk (RANC) and the telecommunications tower issuer PT Solusi Tunas Pratama Tbk (SUPR).
The following is a brief explanation of the acquisition of the Djarum Group above.
‘Caplok’ RANC via Blibli
The management of the Djarum group’s e-commerce company, PT Global Digital Niaga (GDN) or better known as Blibli, stated that the company has officially completed the acquisition of 51% of RANC’s shares.
In an official statement delivered by Blibli management, the company has completed the takeover of 797,888,628 shares of PT Supra Boga Lestari Tbk (RANC) from PT Wijaya Sumber Sejahtera, PT Prima Rasa Inti, PT Gunaprima Karyaperkasa, PT Ekaputri Mandiri, David Kusumodjojo, Suharno Kusumodjojo and Harman Siswanto.
“The acquisition of shares resulted in a change in control of RANC. The shares were purchased at a price of Rp 2,550 per share, so the total value of the takeover transaction was Rp 2,034,616,0001,400,” said the Blibli Board of Directors, Friday (1/10/2021).
Blibli management stated that currently the beneficiaries of GDN are Robert Budi Hartono and Bambang Hartono, founders of the Djarum Group.
“The purpose of this takeover is for business development and expansion of the company’s ecosystem as one of the leading e-commerce companies in Indonesia,” explained the management.
After this transaction, Blibli will carry out a mandatory tender offer in accordance with the provisions of the Financial Services Authority.
As is known, on Thursday, there was a jumbo transaction in the shares of the issuer managing the fresh and organic food supermarket Ranch Market PT Supra Boga Lestari Tbk (RANC) in the negotiating market.
In the transaction, domestic investors entered using the broker PT BCA Sekuritas (SQ), by buying a total of 797.89 million RANC shares at a price of Rp 2,550/unit. The total value of the negotiated transactions reached Rp 2.03 trillion.
The share purchase transaction was recorded 7 times which occurred at around 09.00 this morning and was a self-closing transaction or crossing.
