Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will be released for Windows on March 26. The game will be available for purchase on Battle.net, the platform of publisher Activision. With this release date, the game closely follows the release date for ports for the Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.
The versions for the current generation of consoles were released last Friday, March 12. The previous generation Xbox and PlayStation already received the game in October of last year. The game costs 40 euros for Windows, while it costs 50 euros for the Switch and 70 euros for the Xbox and PlayStation. Publisher Activision announces the Windows release date in a short trailer.
The title of this fourth game refers, among other things, to an element in the game. There are four Quantum Masks with special properties. One of them is the Time Mask. When Crash puts on that mask, he can slow down the time to perform certain actions. There is also a Gravity Mask, which allows protagonist Crash to walk at the bottom of platforms.
The game is the second ‘main game’ since Crash disappeared from view for a while. From 2011 to 2016, not a single game of this pouch was released on the market. That changed in 2017, with the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, but those were remasters of 90s Crash games. Crash Bandicoot 4 is the first full-length sequel in over a decade.
