The municipalities of Crans-Montana and Lens are organizing a new distribution of protective masks for the attention of their economic players. From September 21 to 25, all traders and service providers established in the territory of these two municipalities will be able to obtain a set of 50 masks each free of charge at the Center de Congrès le Régent, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

In total, some 100,000 masks will be distributed. They come from the 900,000 units that had been shipped to the Haut-Plateau, through various orders placed this spring. “We had planned to sell this stock several times a year,” explains David Bagnoud, president of Lens, adding that there will be a reserve of 100,000 to 200,000 masks between now and winter.

Since the start of the pandemic, other municipalities have implemented this type of solidarity action. Since Thursday, Arbaz, Ayent and Grimisuat have offered, for example, a set of 50 masks to all their citizens born between 1995 and 2005. They can be obtained directly from the offices of their respective municipality, on presentation of an identity document. . Between the three municipalities, some 970 young people are targeted by this action, which represents 48,500 masks.
