Kochi – CPM leader T.N. Seema’s husband G. has been appointed as director of C.D.T. The government’s move to appoint Jayaraj backfired. The High Court quashed the government order reassessing the appointment eligibility for the post of C Dt Director. The notification issued in succession to this and the further proceedings including the appointment are also cancelled.
With this, CPM leader TN Seema’s husband G. Jayaraj will lose his directorship. Against the reassessment of eligibility, C. Dt. Deputy Director M.R. Mohanchandran’s petition gave the decisive verdict. The petition was heard by Justice Raja Vijayaraghavan.
The court held that the government has no authority to re-evaluate the eligibility of the post of director. In October 2020, the government issued an order reassessing the eligibility for the appointment of C DIT Director. Following this, a search committee was formed for the appointment of the director and Jayaraj was appointed as the director.
