Kochi: CPM leader and Vadakanchery councilor PR in the Karuvannur bank fraud case. Enforcement Directorate directly involved Aravindakshan. ED stated in the special court that he has the audio recording in this regard. ED informed the court against Arvindakshan’s bail plea. An order will be issued on the bail petition on 25th of this month. The ED had announced the other day that Arvindakshan should not be granted bail and that the investigation is at a critical stage.
Opposing the bail plea, ED contended that Aravindakshan and Jills were clearly involved in the case. The records of the phone conversation between the first accused in the case, Satish Kumar and Aravindakshan, were produced in the ED court. ED tried to make this conversation heard in the court during the hearing but the petitioners objected. Arvindakshan argued that this should not be allowed without following the procedures for hearing the audio recording in court and the court should not consider it without conducting a scientific examination to see if there is any kind of fraud in the audio recording.
Then the mobile voice recording was not heard in the ED court. The audio recording was presented by the investigation team against the argument that ED did not have any evidence. The ED also stated that it can be submitted along with the charge sheet after completing the procedures. The ED alleged that Jiles took loans in the names of many others and committed fraud and illegally returned the documents of the land secured for the loan.
