Thiruvananthapuram: The list of CPM candidates for the Lok Sabha elections has been officially announced. The announcement was made by CPM State Secretary M Vigovindan in Thiruvananthapuram. MV Govindan said that the main goal of the party in the elections is the defeat of the BJP in the country.

Yesterday, the CPI candidates for the Lok Sabha elections were officially announced. CPI state secretary Benoy Vishwa announced the candidates for the four seats contested by the CPI. CA Arun Kumar will contest from Mavelikara. The CPI state executive rejected the district council’s objection. The candidates are VS Sunil Kumar in Thrissur, Ani Raja in Wayanad and Pannyan Ravindran in Thiruvananthapuram. The decision taken by the CPI Executive was announced after the CPI Council meeting.
