NFL star Dak Prescott is breaking all records. The 31-year-old quarterback will receive 240 million dollars (around 216 million euros) over four years from the Dallas Cowboys, several media outlets, including the club’s own homepage and the official NFL website, reported on Sunday evening. 231 of the 240 million dollars are guaranteed, it continues.

Prescott is the first player in the history of the National Football League to earn an average of $60 million annually. The old contract, which guaranteed the quarterback around $40 million per year, would have expired next year. Last season, the quarterback and his Cowboys were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.
Prescott is nowhere near Cristiano Ronaldo’s salary league
As expected, quarterbacks in American football earn the most money because they are the key players and therefore the stars of their teams. Before Prescott, Jordan Love (Green Bay Packers), Trevor Lawrence (Jacksonville Jaguars) and Joe Burrow (Cincinnati Bengals) were the top earners with an average seasonal salary of $55 million per year.
