Covid19 vaccine. Lot with 170 thousand doses of Pfizer arrives at the AICM

A batch with 170 thousand 625 doses from coronavirus vaccine, developed by Pfizer / BioNTech, arrived at Mexico City International Airport (AICM), as supplement to weekly shipment that arrived incomplete yesterday.

The cargo, coming from Belgium, arrived at around 08:15 a.m. at Terminal 1 of the AICM and was received by Pedro Zenteno Santaella, General Director of Biologicals and Reactives of Mexico (Birmex).

​Yesterday a shipment arrived with 487 thousand 500 doses, of 658,125 that were planned, as part of the batches that are received every Tuesday and that are estimated to double as of April.

In total, Mexico has received 4 million 548 thousand 675 doses of the Pfizer vaccine since December 23.

The Secretary of Foreign Relations, Marcelo Ebrard, yesterday He announced that next week the arrival of 632 thousand 775 doses of Pfizer is expected, as well as one million doses of Sinovac, on March 25, and 500 thousand doses of Sputnik V, on March 29.
