COVID vaccine: They make appointments at CDMX health centers to gather 10 children

In health centers in Mexico City, children between the ages of 5 and 11 wait to be vaccinated against COVID-19. They first registered with the Ministry of Health page

Alina Robles went to the Coyoacán area with her son, in the Clinic San Francisco Culhuacán informed him that to vaccinate him he had to wait for 9 more children.

“I came to ask directly if there were vaccines and they told me that if they managed to collect a certain number (of children), that they needed them, they would bring the dose.”

Alina Robles, mother of the family

The same thing happened to Gabriela Mejía, who, after taking her son, put her on a list. After three days they called her by phone so that she would go to the Clinicalready by appointment.

“Leaving there I came to this health center and the same thing: you have to sign up on a list and when the 10 children get together, we call you. I think of many people who use public transport or perhaps lost a day of work and with this there will be two. In the case of children, two days of school”

Gabriela Mejía, mother of the family

Mothers and fathers of families wonder why there must be 10 children.

“To avoid wasting the vaccine because it is expensive, it is about even making a list, an appointment or trying to get 10 people together at the moment, especially since it should not be wasted; with COVID it is a vaccine that has to be used the moment the vial is opened”

María de Jesús, worker of the Ministry of Health, CDMX

Thus by appointment, the 10 minors gathered receive the vaccine. For this reason, the authorities call for compliance with the doses against COVID-19register minors and approach the Health Centers of Mexico City.

Once the attendance lists are confirmed, the minors to the clinics of the Mexico City Vaccine application time is approximately 20 to 30 minutes.
