Muscat: The first batch of Kovid Wax has arrived in Oman with hope. The total use of the Kovid vaccine has been approved in the Gulf region. Meanwhile, it arrived in Oman as part of this. The vaccine was delivered on a DHL cargo plane to Muscat International Airport. The vaccine was received by representatives of the Ministry of Health. Pfizer’s vaccine is also used in Oman.
The first batch of 15600 doses of Pfizer Biotech’s wax arrived in Oman. The second phase of the vaccine will be available in 28,000 doses in January, the health ministry said. Kovid vaccination in Oman will start from the 27th of this month. The first vaccine will be given by Health Minister Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Saeed. The vaccine will be made available to health workers and critically ill patients on a first-come, first-served basis. Two doses are given at one-day intervals of 21 days.
Meanwhile, a free vaccination campaign was launched in Dubai yesterday. Here, too, Pfizer’s medicine is given. Pfizer’s vaccine is about 95 percent immune. The immunity of this vaccine has been tested several times in the UAE. Health officials in the UAE say it has 86 percent immunity. The use of the vaccine is expected to make a big difference in the Gulf region as a whole.
Meanwhile, a new Kovid vaccine center has been opened in Saudi Arabia. The vaccine center was started in Jeddah. Earlier, Saudi Arabia had opened such a center in Riyadh. The center will be able to accommodate those who need to be vaccinated on a large scale. The center in Riyadh has 550 clinics.
