In the pharmacies of Nuevo León, the covid vaccine is not yet for sale for application, revealed the Secretary of Health in the entity, Alma Rosa Marroquín.
“We are with the process and communication in principle with the federation to see what the strategy of the federal Ministry of Health will be in the acquisition, in the possible acquisition of the same and in another way at the local level also looking for a strategy of intervention,” said the state official.
Although the sale of the vaccine in pharmacies in the country has already been released, it is currently not available in Nuevo León.
“For now we still do not have them available here in our state, but they are already in the process of distribution by different pharmacy companies for sale,” he indicated.
He added that the fact that the covid vaccine is already sold means that the stage of health emergency that was experienced has already been overcome.
“Very happy because this means that the emergency stage has already passed, that it is now a vaccine that is added to the vaccination schedules,” he said.
On the other hand, he shared that currently influenza and respiratory syncytial virus are the two respiratory diseases currently circulating.
In this context, he called on the population to apply the influenza vaccine, of which so far more than one million doses have been supplied in the entity.
