Covid vaccination from 12 to 17 years old in Hidalgo from August 1

Starting next Monday, August 1, people between the ages of 12 and 17 who still do not have the covid-19 vaccine will be able to go to the different locations in the 84 municipalities to be inoculated with the Pfizer BioNTech biological, reported the Delegation of the Programs for Wellbeing in Hidalgo.

In 17 municipalities, which remained without attention to this population sector, they will receive the first dose of the vaccine; while in the remaining 67 schemes will be completed to serve 100 percent of Hidalgo residents within this age group.

The population of people from 12 to 17 years old amounts to 337 thousand 640 hidalguenses, detailed the federal delegate in the entity, Abraham Mendoza Zenteno; and at the moment it presents an advance of 301 thousand 389 doses with the first dose, that is, 89 percent coverage; while 173 thousand 673 minors already have the complete scheme, which represents 51 percent coverage of this population sector.

Mendoza Zenteno reiterated the importance of attending on the corresponding date to avoid setbacks and advance with the National Vaccination Strategy; and he recalled that the vaccine is applied universally, free and voluntarily; he also clarified that “it is not a reinforcement, only the first and second dose”.

The municipalities that will have the vaccination day to apply the first dose to this population group as of August 1 are: Actopan, Calnali, Chapulhuacan, El Arenal, Francisco I. Madero, Huazalingo, Jacala de Ledezma, La Misión, Lolotla, Mixquiahuala, Molango, Pisaflores, Progreso de Obregón, San Salvador, Santiago de Anaya, Tepehuacán de Guerrero and Tlanchinol; all of them with the Pfizer BioNTech biological.
