In accordance with the rest of the country, this week the Pediatric Modern Vaccination against Covid-19 will begin in Río Negro in girls and boys from 6 months to 5 years old. The province awaits the arrival of 9,600 doses that will be distributed in hospitals and health centers between today and tomorrow, Thursday.
The vaccine used will be from the Moderna laboratory, and will be applied with an interval between doses of 28 days (four weeks).
In addition, it is important to point out that this vaccine was authorized as a booster dose for the pediatric population aged 3 to 4 years who have already completed their primary schedule of first and second doses; as long as the minimum interval of four months (120 days) has elapsed since the last dose received.
Primary scheme for girls and boys from 6 months to 2 years:
• They will be able to start the vaccination schedule with 2 doses of the Modern vaccine against COVID-19 separated by an interval of 21 to 28 days.
Primary scheme for girls and boys of 3 and 4 years:
• If the primary scheme was not started, they may start a scheme with 2 doses of the Moderna vaccine with an interval of 21-28 days. They can also start their scheme with the Sinopharm vaccine (respecting the interval days)
Booster dose in girls and boys aged 3 and 4 years (complete schedule with Sinopharm):
• Those who have started the vaccination schedule against COVID-19 with the Sinopharm vaccine, will be able to receive their booster dose with the Moderna laboratory vaccine.
The fathers, mothers or adults in charge of the boys and girls, who attend the Vaccine or Health Center, must have the vaccination card and DNI available.
Finally, we remind you that the inoculation against COVID-19 can be administered together with any other vaccine on the national calendar, without the need for interval days.
