Florence, 30 September 2020 – Several new cases of student positivity require new quarantines for different classes. With all the consequences of the case, including missed lessons and anxiety for families. ASL Toscana Nord Ovest is among the three most affected in Tuscany. Only a Pontedera nine classes are affected by the quarantines. But here’s the situation in detail.
Pontedera
Four classes were quarantined at the “Montale” state high school in Pontedera following the identification of two positive cases. Three classes were placed in quarantine at Gandhi middle school in Pontedera following the identification of a positive teacher. One class was instead placed in solitary confinement in high school April 25th Pontedera following the identification of a positive case. Finally, a class is in quarantine at the classical high school in Pontedera following the identification of a positive case.
Livorno
At the elementary school of Mary Help of Christians in Livorno a case emerged on Wednesday morning. The Institute of Hygiene and Prevention immediately activated investigations to verify any contacts as required by specific ordinances for cases that occur in schools. From this investigation it emerged that it was not necessary to have the quarantine for students and teachers of the class, in consideration of the absence of the child who tested positive for days. Instead it was necessary to do so for one student only as he had had extra-school contacts.
Lucca
Cases of positivity have been identified at the “Majorana” high school in Capannori, to the institute including Montecarlo and to the institute including Coreglia Antelminelli. The respective epidemiological investigations are underway to define the contacts and the consequent quarantine measures.
Viareggio
There is a positive student at the nautical institute of Viareggio. 20 classmates were quarantined.
