While France is criticized for its slowness regarding the vaccination against Covid-19, the campaign begins tomorrow in Gironde.
3,900 doses arrived this Tuesday, January 5 at the Bordeaux University Hospital, 4,800 are expected for tomorrow. The first should be sold by the end of the week, assures us Olivier Serre, director of the departmental delegation of the regional health agency. The Lormont EHPAD volunteered to start this vaccination with its residents, but also nursing staff. It will take place from 4.30 p.m.
1is vaccination site will be set up at Bordeaux University Hospital, Saint-André hospital and Haut-Lévêque. This first phase will concern the nursing staff. The goal is for there to be vaccination centers all over the Gironde and for doctors to be able to vaccinate later on. In the longer term, pharmacists could also do this.
The vaccinations of the first phase will be done by appointment.
