Covid: the number of patients in hospitals is not weakening

On the evening of Sunday, June 6, 2021, Public Health France noted in the publication of the latest figures of the Covid-19 epidemic in France that over the last 24 hours, the number of people in hospital and in intensive care units is stay fixed. Today, 14,525 patients are currently hospitalized in France.

On France, in the resuscitation services, nothing moves. Or almost. This Sunday, June 6, 2021, the figures published by Public health France testify to a stagnation the number of people hospitalized, in intensive care and in “critical care”. This number remains around 14,525, against 14,532 the day before, and 16,775 a week ago. .

In detail, the hospitalizations are always at the same level at national scale. So the number of patients admitted to intensive care or in one of these services stay fixed : 154 new patients have been admitted in the last 24 hours, for a total of 2527 currently in “shifts”, against 2525 the day before. Same result in “critical care” services, supposed to deal with the most serious cases. Throughout France, 52 new patients with Covid-19 have been admitted there in the last 24 hours.

It has been over a week since the number of patients received in these services had fallen below 3000. By way of comparison, this number had reached a peak at the time of the peak of the first wave, in April 2020, with 7000 patients in intensive care.
